So it's that time of year again. That comes every 4 years. When I turn into some sports-crazed patriotic maniac that never sleeps and can tell you detail for detail everything that happened for Team Canada each of the 18 days. Yep, that's right; it's the Winter Olympics. MY FAVOURITE FUCKING TIME OF LIFE.

Vancouver will still be the greatest games I've ever witnessed and experienced - honestly, it really was an experience throughout the entire country; I'll never forget it (and I can't since I actually bought the broadcast recordings on DVD and videotaped the torch relay myself), but that's just getting me pumped for this year! So much nostalgia and enthusiasm.

Unfortunately the time zones are a little sucky this year for me (broadcasts starting at 10pm, going through til 3pm the next day) but luckily I'm fairly flexible this year, so I'm making it work as best I can.

Lots of nervous but exciting days ahead and we've a great start already. Let's keep it up, Canada - we CAN own the podium again!

Woo! (cue lots of crazed chanting)

Also, since Russia had that ring malfunction in their OP Ceremonies, will ppl stop bugging us about our Torch malfunction?

Beggin' your pardon, Miss. But may I ask if your going to Otafest Aurora in Calgary at the end of the month?

Unfortunately I'm not T.T   I don't live in Calgary, so making the trek down and back just for one day is a bit much, but I will most likely be going to the regular Otafest in May again if you're attending^^

That leads to my question, How are the Otafests? I'm thinking of going.

Otafest is a fantastic. I've been going for 5 years now and the reason I keep going back is it's just such a great atmosphere. After attending a variety of cons across Canada and the States I can say it's a pretty well-organised and well-run con. The last couple years it's really grown in attendance, probably with the addition of J-Rock concerts, and with that they've been able to upgrade the prizes for all their contests (which is pretty sweet), and introduce some other things like pin trading. They usually have a Much Music Video Dance as well which I know a lot of us look forward to, as well as your typical Anime dance (tho the DJ for that can be hit/miss). Also, the closing ceremonies are probably the most entertaining of all, so if you go, definitely stick around for that!

Hi, could I ask where you got your Alice cosplay from?
kamshaticum Nov 8, 2013  Hobbyist Artist
That would be from my own two hands, with help from Fabricland and Michael's.

Would you be interested in a commission from me to make the alice outfit?
Saw your Alice cosplay in the OLD productions video and I was really cheered up by your dancing~ It was super cute and original. I hope to see more stuff you do. I'm so happy I found your dA!

Maybe I'll someday see you at a con~ The only US con I can go to is Sakura-con since I live in Canada but one day perhaps! Anyway thanks for the uplifting dance :D
